January 14, 2026: Heritage Concrete and Silvi Materials Announce Strategic Ready-Mix Plant Transaction
Agreement Includes Four Plant Locations Serving the Greater Philadelphia Region, Positions Both Companies to Sharpen Regional Focus
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE – Heritage Concrete, a family-owned and operated company built on a legacy of exceptional customer service, superior product quality, and strong family-focused core values, has reached an agreement to sell four Philadelphia-area ready-mix concrete plants to Silvi Materials, a similarly-focused family-owned construction materials company serving markets across the Greater Philadelphia region. The transaction is expected to close in late January.
Pursuant to the transaction, Silvi Materials will acquire four ready-mix concrete plant locations from Heritage Concrete, including facilities in Malvern, Plymouth Meeting, Hatboro, and New Britain, Pennsylvania, which will transition to operate under the Silvi Materials brand. Heritage Concrete will continue operating its other nine ready-mix concrete plants within its retained footprint, positioning its operations around facilities that support a long-term growth strategy and integrate closely with its existing aggregate supply network.
“This transaction reflects a thoughtful, strategic decision about how we best position Heritage Concrete for long-term success,” said Michael Petrillo, President of Heritage Concrete. “By focusing our operations around plants that align with our existing infrastructure and that are closely integrated with our aggregates business, we can continue to invest in our people, strengthen service to our customers, and build on the strong foundation of our ready-mix business.”
“Bringing these four plants into the Silvi Materials family strengthens our position across the five-county Philadelphia market and extends our reach into Upper Bucks County with the New Britain location,” said Larry Silvi III, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Silvi Materials. “Just as importantly, it will improve operational efficiency across our network, so customers benefit from an even more consistent, responsive experience. After years as competitors, we’re excited to join forces with the talented employees at these facilities, formerly part of Delaware Valley Concrete, and work together to build on the strong service and quality customers rely on.”
Both companies emphasized that continuity of service remains a priority throughout the transition, with customers continuing to receive the same high-quality products and support they expect.
